Chateau Lamothe’s vineyards are in one of the choicest locations in the
village of Haux, Bordeaux. The vines are planted on sunny and
well-drained hills with pebbly and gravely topsoil. Further down, the
soil lies on limestone quarries and caves that were used during the
17th and 18th centuries. Today, in addition to using modern cellars,
Chateau Lamothe uses these old caves for aging the casks and bottles at
a constant temperature of 57? F. This wine is a blend of Semillon
(40%), Sauvignon Blanc (40%) and Muscadelle(20%). |
