Château du Rouët brings five generations of Savatier
family experience to the production of its classic Côtes de Provence
rosé. A blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, this wine is produced from
first-press and saignée juice, the latter a result of the bleeding-off
process following the wine’s brief maceration. Fermentation takes place
under temperature-controlled conditions in order to ensure both
fruitiness and liveliness. Rouët is bottled in a traditional, clear
hourglass-shaped bottle, making it as eye-catching as the wine is
delightful.
88 Points - Stephen Tanzer's I.W.C. "Pale orange
color. Sharply focused aromas of strawberry and orange peel, plus a
subtle floral undertone. Light-bodied, dry and vibrant, offering clean
red fruit and citrus flavors and a refreshing peppery note.
Straightforward and brisk, with good finishing lift and mineral
cut."~(ST)
