Ernst Loosen consistently produces high quality Rieslings in a variety of styles and price ranges in Mosel, Germany. In 1999, he teamed up with Chateau Ste. Michelle to make Rieslings from the Yakima Valley and Horse Heaven AVAs in Washington State. The harmonious use of Old and New World techniques is reflected in the name of this wine -- “Eroica” is Beethoven’s third symphony. “Since the project began, this has consistently been among the best non-dessert Rieslings produced in the USA and the 2006 continues in that tradition. Light straw-colored, it offers up a lovely floral, mineral, honeysuckle bouquet, crisp flavors featuring melon and pineapple, excellent balance, and a long, pure, refreshing finish.
