Ross and Bill Spence founded this winery in 1973 when New Zealand's winemaking industry was early in its development. These innovative winemakers pioneered New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc production. The fruit for this wine is sourced from Marlborough. While it probably can age a year or two, it is vibrant and delicious now. ""Lively, with very good concentration to lime, stone, orange peel and grassy flavors. A trace of sweetness rounds out the finish. Drink now."" Wine Spectator rated 86. |
