Wilhelm Walch Winery started in 1869 and was originally a Jesuit convent in Tremin, Alto Adige. Italy. The historical large underground cellar was recently enlarged to accommodate state of the art winemaking equipment, but still houses oak casks that were intricately carved in 1880. The winery's focus is on single varietals. All white wines are crafted in stainless steel. The winery has produced Sauvignon Blanc since its inception. All grapes used in this wine are from Alto Adige. "" very aromatic bouquet offers delicate fruit along with subtle herbal overtones. On the palate it shows layers of fruit with a delightfully fresh, crisp long finish."" Winery notes.
