A terrific vintage for Saint-Emilion with 41% Merlot, 41%
Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Cabernet franc, Chateau Picau Perna is an elegant
and full Saint-Emilion at an excellent price. This wine has a hint of herb and
silky tannins frame the big plum, rasberry and cherry flavors. Can benefit from
3-5 years of cellaring, but decant for a pleasurable experience now.
Recommendation: Soft cheeses, game and Lamb.
