This is a vineyard that has
been producing wonderful wines for years and is worthy of its status in
the wine world. Aged in vats of wood the wines here are delicious. This
2006 has a wonderful blend of elegance and power as well as a beautiful
complexity. At this price, it's not one to miss.
Eye

This
is a wine of such intensh shades of midnight blue that it appears of a
deep purple with a violet sheen. This wine still has a young aspect to
it, yet it is bright and opaque. It has a good concentration in the
glass.
Nose

On
the nose this wine exudes a beautiful finesse with an excellent
raciness and a complex feel. We find notes of cherries, red plums,
blackcurrants and wild strawberries. The fruitiness of this wine
enrobes discreet notes of age, smoke, tobacco, toast and caramel. The
fresh side to this wine is found in the peppery hints within. Fine and
powerful this wine is beautifully seductive.
Palate

In
tasting this wine is velvety and smooth. The wine has a fine structure,
yet it is crisp and fresh. The fruity flavours sit excellently together
and give this wine a good longevity. The finale is punctuated with
notes of spices and liquorice. The overall blend is fine and elegant
like a Margaux, but the balance is powerful and telling of a good
complexity.
